| Backland Communications announced today the inclusion of the United Way of Greater Simcoe County, and the Centre for the Advancement of Video Excellence (C.AV.E.), into their Community Outreach Program. Backland Communications has created specialized Internet connection packages that will allow both of these organizations meet or exceed their goals within the community. | |

| The program has also generated interest from other non - profit organizations. Current members of the Community Outreach Program include organizations such as the Barrie Minor Baseball Association, The Simcoe County Alliance To End Homelessness, and the Elmvale Lions Club. | |
| Due to potential demand, there is a limited amount of space available in the Community Outreach Program. Eligibility for the Community Outreach Program is determined by the organization's need for Internet service, the number of applicants for the program, and the location of the organization, organizations based in Simcoe County, and focused on Simcoe County, may be given priority.
